I had a conversation with a friend and we got on the topic of love and money. As I tend to due, I romantize love and life, and sometimes relationships, but when they said to me that they would rather have money over love anyday, and that should they deem it necessary to have a mate, then that can be bought.
Basically, this friend said that they'd have no problem having a companion in their live that knew they only wanted them for their money. They said that it alleviates alot of unnecessary drama of feelings, rather in a sense, they have hired that persons affection, attention, and in some cases their loyalty.
I don't know, maybe its me, maybe its my age, or the fact that I am a romantic, but all you ever have in life is your integrity and love. Money comes and goes, but love is something that can, if tilled & cultivated right, can last a lifetime. We can fall in and out of love with a number people, if we are lucky throughtout our lifetime, but to not have that feeling- to not know and be in love...I think its huge part of your life that a person would miss out on. I mean who doesn't want love...??? To know that the person in your life would not be with you were it not for your money, or material items that it can buy them is crazy to me. I kneed to know that you are with me because you geniunely like/love me for a person, not for what I can do for you. Is this what the celebrities deal with? I wonder, is that why their unions don't seem to last, because as the money wanes so does that attention, affection, and loyalty. Maybe men are more able to handle having a beautiful woman, to get daps from their boys, while women have to know that the very reason your are with her is because of your love for her character and personality, not her money.
This person went on to say that its no different than going to a fancy resturant and receiving a certain amount of attention from the staff because they know of the money that you are going spend. I said that is a service and its different, but he said its not, its no different than choosing someone to be with. I beg to differ, and in the end we agreed to disagree.
Am I wrong to favor love over money. I know money can do alot of things for you, but it can't buy happiness, health, or love...although in the infamous words of PRINCE "It will pay for the search" the problem here is they aren't going to search for love, because something more superficial and shallow will come their way---all because of the MONEY.
So do you want love or do you think with money you can buy love?

Long time no hear! =) We have been missing you around here for a short minute. LOVE will always be my answer hands down! You can't buy true LOVE anywhere that I am aware of. The price is too high! I don't know of anyone who can afford it either. That's probably why it has been free since the beginning of time. That's probably also why it will last until the end of time! =) Anything else would be FAKE and who really wants something that is not authentic unless they are FAKE themselves?!?! My suggestion would be to fall in LOVE and make the money together. If the LOVE in your relationship is what it is supposed to be, then you probably won't need as much money as you thought you would in the first place. You be surprised how little material things really mean when you have true LOVE working in your life..
Peace & Love,
brutbrut
